The association of glassblowers, artists and designers operates in Nuutajärvi Glass Village, where glass has been blown since the 18th century. Lasikomppania hotshop offers high-quality working facilities for artists working with hot glass.

The Lasikomppania community organizes events, courses, workshops and international residencies.  The operations of the glass company are unique and the community strongly supports the survival and development of the industry in Finland. The association was founded in 2004.
